But as always Bollywood isn't going to stay behind, rather these time two movies from Bollywood have fulfilled the eligibility criteria and are in the race with other 336 films eligible for Oscars 2017 in the Best Foreign Feature Film Category.

In 2016, Bollywood Screen has released about 114 feature films, but only two of them have made into the list and were quite appreciated by the Academy of Movie Picture Arts and Sciences.

MS Dhoni: The Untold Story

MS Dhoni: The Untold Story a biopic based on the life of Indian Cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Well, renowned Actor of Bollywood, Sushant Singh Rajput starring MS Dhoni: The Untold Story features the 30-year old actor in the titular role of the most successful captain of Indian Cricket.

Sarbjit

Omung Kumar's Sarbjit is based on the life of an Indian Farmer, Sarabjit who was accused of terrorism and was imprisoned in the Lahore Jail in Pakistan. Randeep Hooda played the Titular character of Sarabjit and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan played the role of Sarabjit's Sister Dalbir Kaur. 

Why Visaranai Out of Oscars 2017 Race

Sarabjit beat out South Indian star Dhanush’s Visaranai from the nominations for the race of Best Foreign Feature Film Award. 

Apart from MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and Sarabjit, India-born director Mira Nair’s film Queen of Katwe has also made it to the list of 336 films running for the title of Best Foreign Feature.
Performances of actors in both movies were appreciated and were undoubtedly one of the best movies of 2016.
